Since she was a toddler, a lifetime Harry Potter enthusiast has been recognized as Hermione Granger’s doppelganger.
For as long as Ellie Rowe, 10, can remember, she has been linked to controversial author JK Rowling’s fictitious character.
Her mother, Rochelle Rowe, 28, says Ellie’s similarity to Granger, played by Emma Watson, was initially noticed during her wedding several years ago.
Ellie was just three years old at the time, and she has heard the same comparison ever since.
Growing up, she embraced her striking resemblance to the character and frequently dressed up as Hermione.
“At our wedding, my mother-in-law came up to me and said Ellie looked like Hermione,” said Rochelle, a trainee nurse from Cornwall.
“I hadn’t realized it until that time, but ‘she does quite’!”
“As she grew older, she began to look more and more like her every day.”
“It was strange when Ellie dressed up in the clothing at around six or seven years old since she looked like Hermione’s duplicate.”
Ellie has outgrown her appearance as she has grown older, yet there is still a distinct connection.
“I’ve always liked Harry Potter, and when people started telling me I looked like Hermione Granger, it was fascinating,” Ellie said.
“I even began to believe I possessed magical abilities and wished to attend Hogwarts.” First, I read the novels with my mother, and then we watched the movies.
“I adored them at the time and continue to do so!”
